Role of the freight forwarder

The forwarder is a person acting in his own name and under its responsibility to organize transport operations and related operations by selecting the carriers and other stakeholders.

The forwarder is an intermediary, a professional acting on its own behalf and organizing of free and autonomous transport from start to finish on behalf of the consignor. He sets up and coordinates with transport contractors of his choice. He has not to seek the agreement of the customer on behalf of carriers it chooses. The forwarder takes the transaction to his account and concludes in his name the necessary contracts for its implementation.
